For Elementary School Children and their FamiliesCome one, come all! Have fun and learn as a family!
After studying with Dr. Katz, MD, I learned he and his wife Catherine Katz, Ph D developed a wonderful program at Yate University Prevention Research Center called Nutrition Detective. The Nutrition Detective movie teaches our attending “detectives” how to look for clues! They will learn how not to be fooled by the box, but how to read and understand the nutritional facts, all at their age level. it’s an entertaining, engaging, educational and empowering program!
They will take a few “magical” trips along the way, learning the first ingredient listed is the biggest or most of what is in that food. They will meet Fingers the Fox who will teach them how to spot out ingredients we do not want in food, learn longer ingredient lists are not good, where to look for shorter lists and from nature is best! Learn to look for whole grains, not whole grain “imposters” and much more! Best of all they will have learned a lot about how to be healtheir and happier, in a fun way! That knowledge and experience will have a profound impact on every part of their lives and my hope is this will ripple forward to future generations. It’s truly a must see! Bring friends, bring the family, bring a group. Children attending will receive their own “NUTRITION DETECTIVE” Badge.
90 minute DVD followed by 30 minutes of engaging and fun hands on experience to practice what was learned.
